Requiem Mass for Pope Francis
We gathered for a requiem mass in memory of Pope Francis on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, celebrated in the school chapel. The mass was led by Fr. Udahemukah SJ, with our Headmaster, Fr. Joseph Afulo SJ, and our school chaplain, Fr. Groum SJ, co-celebrating the service. The atmosphere in the chapel was heavy with grief as we honored a remarkable leader who touched countless lives

Fr. Udahemukah emphasized the qualities that defined Pope Francis’s legacy: his unwavering commitment to peace, profound compassion for the marginalized, humility in leadership, and focus on inclusiveness. He reminded us that these values are not just ideals to admire but principles we must actively live out in our lives, promoting dialogue and understanding within our Christian community.

As we reflected on his teachings and the impact he made, we were reminded of our responsibility to carry forward his message of love and unity. The requiem mass provided a moment of shared sorrow while reaffirming our commitment to honor his life through our actions, ensuring that his legacy continues in our daily lives. Pope Francis was a champion of dialogue, peace, mutual respect, and the values that foster a harmonious community. Let us pray that the Lord grants him eternal rest.
