Winners! Tanzanian Women Engineers

Winners! Our students excelled at the 9th Tanzania Women Engineers Convention (TAWECE) on August 21st and 22nd at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre. They confidently showcased their projects alongside other schools and universities and emerged as the overall champions in the school category for the projects on Kilimo Janja, Smart Bin, and Panya Manzi. Bravo!

The students of Loyola have shown remarkable dedication and commitment to contributing to the future of women engineers in Tanzania. This year, their efforts were prominently recognized at the Women Engineer Exhibition, where their hard work and innovative projects stood out among many.

Guided by the vision of the Institution of Engineers Tanzania, which aspires to lead in the development and integration of engineering, science, technology, public policy, and resource management for the sustainable betterment of humanity and the environment, Loyola’s students have fully embraced the mission of promoting engineering excellence in Tanzania. Their projects not only demonstrated technical prowess but also embodied a deep understanding of the societal and environmental impact of their work.

The success seen at the exhibition is a testament to the tireless efforts of both the students and their teachers. The school’s supportive environment, where academic rigor is paired with real-world applications, has allowed these students to thrive. The faculty’s dedication to mentoring and providing hands-on experience has empowered these young women to push the boundaries of what is possible in engineering.
